Consumption Methods

by Budtenders Association |

Rolled

Rolling Paper

Specialty sheets made from paper, hemp, or rice designed to wrap or roll dry herb products ready for inhalation.

Blunt

Hollowed out cigar wrap

Natural Leaf

A more natural alternative to a blunt (with little to no flavour bringing out the best of your cannabis profiles).

Benefits

Easily consumed without the requirement of a large accessory.
Slow-burning.
Traditional ritual.

Water Filter

Bong

Commonly referred to as a water pipe, a bong acts as a cooling mechanism for smoke which is passed through water (adding ice is optional for an extra cool experience) into the mouthpiece from which it is inhaled. The flower is lit directly in the bowl attachment.

Dab Rig

Dabbing is a consumption technique for cannabis oils and waxes. A dab rig is similar to a bong, however requires a preheated nail on which the oil is dabbed and melts to be inhaled.

Benefits

Water cools the smoke for a smoother toke.
Water filters out some of the tar.
Ensures no unwanted ash is inhaled.

Vaporizer

Dry Herb Vaping

This accessory is used to consume dried cannabis by gently heating to a specific temperature. Vapour inhalation has been reported to be less harmful to the system than smoke from rolled joints or water filtration because the process doesn’t produce as many carcinogens or tar. Cannabis is packed or poured into a vaporizer.

Concentrate Vaping

A device that heats cannabis oil to the point just before it burns, releasing the active ingredients like cannabinoids and terpenes. It produces vapour, which is then inhaled from the mouthpiece

Benefits

The cannabis is heated to temperatures that release cannabinoids and terpenes but does not burn the flower.
